How It Works: From Purchase to Home

Welcome! We’re thrilled you’re considering a Coway machine for your home. Whether you’re looking to rent or purchase a drinking water system or an air purifier, here’s exactly what to expect every step of the way.

Step 1: Deciding to Rent or Purchase

Renting a Machine:

  • Your machine will require maintenance about once a quarter.
  • Depending on your lease term (3, 5, or 6 years), all filtration changes are free for the duration of your lease.
  • A Coway technician will visit your home to service your machine at no extra cost — no delivery fee, no materials fee, no service fee.

Purchasing a Machine:

  • When you purchase outright, you’re covered for one year on machine servicing, warranty, and filter replacements.
  • After the first year, you’ll need to purchase your own filters. Our technician is still available for servicing.

Step 2: Placing Your Order

  • Call or contact Sandy at (213) 239-3249 to confirm the model that’s right for your home.
  • Once your order is placed, a Coway Customer Service Representative will call you to coordinate your installation time.

A note on identity verification: For rental agreements, we run a quick soft credit check — standard for any lease arrangement. You’ll need to provide your Social Security Number for this step. Short version: it’s a soft inquiry only, has zero impact on your credit score, and does not appear on your credit report.

Step 3: Delivery and Installation

Your Coway machine will be delivered and installed at the agreed date and time by our technician. Please make sure someone is home to allow entry.

Step 4: Enjoying Your Coway Machine

  • Start using your machine to enjoy clean, purified water or air right away.
  • For rental customers, quarterly maintenance will be scheduled — our team will reach out as your service date approaches.

Step 5: Filter Replacements and Servicing

  • Rental: Filter replacements and servicing are fully included. A Coway technician handles everything.
  • Purchase: Covered for the first year. After that, filters are available on our website and servicing can be scheduled as needed.
